Jessie Wayne Bolyer, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Jessie Wayne Bolyer, Sr., 57, of Ferriday, LA will be held at Ridgecrest Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Bro. Preston Holder officiating. Interment will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday. Mr. Bolyer was born July 12, 1952 in Natchez, MS and passed away Sunday January 24, 2010 at Residence. Wayne's whole life was one big adventure, growing up in "Natchez Under the Hill", learning to swim in the Miss River enjoying life on the river and doing the things most of us only read about. His daddy taught him at an early age to fish, and his love for the water and fishing was a great passion of his. Not having the things we all take for granted in life he quit school at an early age. He went to work for his father who gave him the best education ever “Hands On " He might not have said to others but he was always watching what was going on and learning from it as he used this thought out his life. His accomplishments were high for someone with little education but he was a very determined man. He started as a teenager working for JB Fletcher Drilling Co, Later going to work then it was Hughes and New then became David New working for Big David he use to laugh saying David might own it but I run it, "This Is My Rig" and that just the way he work his way or no way. He took WT drilling comp. out of the yard always laughing saying them other tool pusher just aint got it thriving to move, rig up and set surface faster than others. He became an Asst Drilling superintendent for David New had over 100 employees he was over, but he didn't like it because all he got to do was ride around or set behind a desk answer the phone or eat he wanted the hand on because that all he knew He worked for David New for about seventeen years. For the past 16 years he worked for Shell Pipeline at Nairn, La. He went to work with some of the finest group of people you would want to work with, until Katrina came and the people changed Wayne never understood saying they were a live what else mattered. He leaves behind a girl he meet when she was twelve and to this day it was just like yesterday, also living behind a son he raised hard teaching him you get out of life what you put into it not always when you want it, A daughter who he spoiled rotten to this day, one granddaughter "whatever" who's 1st birthday was done up in fish..Six grandsons one that he told Don’t Ever Change. All six held a special place in his heart the youngest he was the hardest on because that's the way he wanted him to grow up the way he raised his daddy. He leaves a host family and friend including his adopted family" The Louviere"s of Plaquemines Parish and the Normand of Point Coupee Parish and most of all his family at Ridgecrest Baptist Church. The greatest Adventure Wayne achieved in life was when he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by his father-E.D. Bolyer; one brother, Charles P. Bolyer, Sr.; one sister, Geneva Bolyer Warnack; his father-in-law-Charles Hoover; mother-in-Law-Melba H. Griggs; and his grandmother-Leola Button Survivors include: Wife-Rita Mitzi Bolyer of Ferriday, La. Son-Jessie Wayne Bolyer, Jr and wife Pauline of Vidalia, La. Daughter-Deidra Gatlin of Vidalia, La. Mother-Susie Geneva Bolyer of Ferriday, La. Brother father compaion and friend-Edward Bolyer and wife Ginger of Ferriday, La. Brother-Virgill Bolyer and wife Charlotte of Natchez, Miss. Brother-Larry Bolyer and wife Betty of Ventrice, La. Brother-Ralph Bolyer and wife Carol of Vidalia, La. Brother-Thomas Bolyer and wife Debbie of Vidalia, La. Grandchildren-Sean Michael Gatlin, Dalton Cole Gatlin, Devin Wayne Bolyer, Brittany Paige Bolyer,William Colton Nations, and Craig Emmett Nations The Pallbearers will be Matt Maroon, Loyce Maroon, Tommy Denning, Larry "Mouse" Louviere, Jerry "Peanut" Short and Jessie Wayne Bolyer Jr. The Honorary Pallbearers will be Charlie Blaney, Joe Dan Richerson, Ed Bolyer "My daddy", Kevin Louviere "Like a brother", Jack Walker "Mentor", Robert Norman, Sean Gatlin, Cole Gatlin, Devin Bolyer, Craig Nations, and Coltton Nations The family will receive friends at Young's Funeral Home, Ferriday, La. from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 26, 2010.
