Funeral services for Charles Nash Rutledge, 82 of Sicily Island,LA will be held at Patton Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 02, 2014 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Clois Cole officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery, Sicily Island, LA, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Charles Nash Rutledge was born on Sunday, July 24, 1932 in Jonesville, LA. and passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Sicily Island, LA. He was a resident of Sicily Island and a member of the Baptist Faith. Charles was a Master Mason and was past Worshipful Master of Keystone Lodge 213. He retired from Chevron USA Standard Oil Company with 38 years of service. Charles proudly served his Country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Charles loved his family and above all the Lord. He was preceded in death by: Father- Horace Nash Rutledge Mother- Louella Tarpley Rutledge Sister-Gracie Carroll Brother-Marion Rutledge Survived by: Wife of 61 years - Annis Rutledge of Sicily Island, LA Daughter-Cynthia Hatton and her husband Bobby of Ten Mile, TN Son- Charles "Booger" Rutledge and his wife Connie Sue of Sicily Island, LA Son-Marion "Nank" Rutledge and his wife Michelle of Jacksonville, FL Son-Horace Nash "Chuck" Rutledge and his wife Kathy of Shreveport, LA 2 Granddaughters- Rachal Hatton and Becky Hatton 6 Grandsons- Chris Hatton and his wife Destiny, Eric Rutledge, Heath Rutledge and his wife Chasity, Tristin Rutledge, Kyle Rutledge and Nathan Rutledge Great-granddaughter- Brittney Hatton 4 Great-grandsons- Travis Sermons, David Robert Hatton, Zane Rutledge and Zade Rutledge Sister- Molly Nichols and her husband Cleo of Jena, LA Sister- Lena Mae Finn of Odessa, TX Brother- Ed Rutledge and his wife Peggy of Jonesville, LA Brother- L.W. Rutledge and his wife Carolyn of Jonesville, LA Sister-in-Law- LaRada Rutledge of Harrisonburg, LA Many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews along with many close friends and extended family members. Pallbearers will be Beau Robinson, Landon Williams, Cade Williams, Brandon Hilliard, Dennis Lucas and Eli Rutledge. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Lucas, Kenneth McLeland, Bruce Rutledge, Kevin Rutledge, John Smith, Bruce Mott, David Hilliard and Randy Goodwin. The family will receive friends at Patton Baptist Church from 5PM until 9PM Monday September1, 2014.
