Funeral services for Ms. Eva Paul Moreland, 93, of Monterey, LA will be held at New Era Baptist Church on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at 11: :00 AM with Bro. Leland Briggs assisted by Andy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at New Era Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday. Ms. Moreland was born July 23, 1915 in Eva, LA to James and Almeda Paul. She passed away Thursday September 11, 2008 in Jonesville. She was a resident of Monterey and a home maker. She was a Charter member of New Era Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star # 157. She taught sunday school for many years at New Era as well as serving in the Womens Missionary Union and Girls Auxillary. She was preceded in Death by: Parents-James & Almeda Young Paul Husband-Claude Moreland Great Grandson-Jordan Glynn Tiffee Brothers-Willie Paul & Raymond Paul Sisters-Evie Paul Bounds & Myrtle Paul Lipsey Survivors include: Son-Wayne Moreland & wife Rosalind of Houston, Texas Son-Kent Moreland & wife Betty of Monterey, La. Daughter-Lynda Calhoun and husband Riley of Monterey, La. Daughter-Beverly Tiffee and husband Gene of Monterey, La. Brother-Clay Paul & wife Willedean of Monterey, La. Sister-in-law-Adella Paul of Acme, La. Sister-in-law-Omeda Paul of Alexandria, La. Brother-in-law-Clyde Moreland of Monterey, La. Grandson-Lance Moreland of Denver, Colo.
