Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Weeks, 76, of Jonesville, LA will be held at New Pine Hill Baptist Church, Sicily Island, La. on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Bro. Chase Weeks officiating. Interment will follow at New Pine Hill Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday. Mrs. Weeks was born March 29, 1933 in in Sicily Isand and passed away Sunday January 24, 2010 in Alexandria, La. She was a resident of Jonesville formerly of Ferriday. Mrs Weeks was the owner and operator of TLC Pet Shop in Vidalia for many years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, who no matter what joy or pain life may have brought her, she faced each day with love, Grace and Reverane to the Lord. Inspiring all others to do the same. She had a caring and loving soul that would put others before herself. One who always had time for others, she will be truely missed by all those who ever had any contact with her. She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by: Husband of 57 years James David "J.D." Weeks Son-Wendell Ray Weeks Parents-Reece Martin and Ina Martin Step Mother-Alma Martin Brothers-Basil Lee Martin and Johnny Myrl Martin Survivors include: Son-David Weeks and wife Brenda of Vidalia, La. Daughter-Cheryl Bryan and husband Jerry of Jonesville, La. Son-Mark Weeks of Jonesville, La. Grandchildren-Chase Weeks, Mika White, Dorey May, Reese, Heath Weeks, Jeremy Bryan, Daniel Bryan, and Jesse Bryan Great grandchildren-Tiffany and WIll Weeks, Madison, Noah White, Dylan Bryan, and Emma Bryan Her special pets Ke-Ke her cat, and Petie her parrot Special friends Claudia Goodman, Elaine Wilkinson, Olivia Cross, and Elva Goldman Special thanks to Four Rivers Home Health, Vickie Gray, and Barbara Mason and her caregiver Miss Pat . The Pallbearers will be Joe Taunton, Casey Weeks, Milton Sanders, Randy Nugent, Daniel Bryan, and Shane White. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dorey May Heath Weeks, Reese Weeks, Will Weeks, Noah White, Jeremy Bryan, Daniel Bryan, Jesse Bryan, and Dylan Bryan. The family will receive friends at Young's Funeral Home, Ferriday, La. from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 27, 2010.
