Funeral services for Gary Lee Morace, 63 of Vidalia,LA will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, Vidalia, LA on Tuesday, October 07, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ron Ledford and Rev. Kelly Tingle officiating. Interment will follow at New Era Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Calvary Baptist Church from 5:00 PM til 9:00 PM, Monday, October 06, 2014. Gary Lee Morace was born on Tuesday, March 27, 1951 in Ferriday, LA and passed away Saturday, October 04, 2014 at Natchez Regional Hospital after he lost his battle with cancer. He was a resident of Vidalia and a life-time member of Calvary Baptist Church for 34 years. Gary was an employee of Ethyl Corporation for 27 years prior to its closure. He has worked for Concordia Parish Correctional Facility for the past 13 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, coaching softball, eating, garage saling, making others laugh and playing with his grandkids. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a sincere Christian who truly loved his Lord and shared that passion with his loved ones. Gary proudly served his Country in the United States Army National Guard He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis Lee and Camille Morace. He leaves behind his family to cherish his sweet memory: his loving wife and best friend of 41 years, Kathy Morace of Vidalia, LA; three daughters, Chassidy Morace Cole and her husband Jason of Pineville, LA, Chancie Morace and Michael Bourgeois of Waveland, MS, Katrina Morace Tarver and her husband Matt of Vidalia, LA; brother, Otis Lynn Morace and his wife Sharon of Monterey, LA; sister, Jan Morace Freeman and her husband Thomas of Vidalia, LA; four grandsons, Caleb Lee Cole, Micah Caden Cole, Parker Matthew Tarver and Jace Michael Bourgeois; and two granddaughters, Gabrielle Luv Morace and Peyton Mackenzie Tarver. Pallbearers will be Thomas Freeman, Kenneth Hedrick, James Paul, Darrell Ray Paulk, Henry Brown, Bryant Gauthier, Eric Gauthier and Seth Otis Sanford Honorary Pallbearers will be his best friend, Larry Walker and Gary's co-workers of Concordia Parish Correctional Facility.
