Funeral services for Joseph Lee Simpson, 23 ,of Saint Joseph, LA will be held at Young's Funeral Home, Ferriday, La. on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 11:00 AM and Young's Funeral Home, Ferriday, La. with Bro. Daylon Hicks & Bro. Larry Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Legion Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday. The visitation will be on Sunday January 25 2009 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Youngs Funeral Home in Ferriday, La. Joseph was born July 15, 1985 in Natchez, MS to Karen Moseley and Scotty Simpson. He passed away Friday January 23, 2009 at Franklin Medical Center Winnsboro. He was a resident of St. Joseph, La. Joseph graduated from Florence High School in Florence, Ms. in 2003, where he played soccer and baseball. Upon graduation he worked as a land surveyor in Mississippi. He moved to St. Joseph, La. to begin farming in 2004 with his grandfather Estel Simpson. Joseph loved to hunt and farm. He always made time for his family and friends. His loveable personality touched the hearts of everyone around him. He always made everyone laugh all the time and he was always there when anyone needed him. He will be loved and missed by all. Survivors include: Father-Scotty Simpson of St. Joseph, La. Mother-Karen and Step Father Trey Moseley of Braxton, Miss. Sister-Amanda Simpson of Baton Rouge, La. Sister-Hannah Arnold of Braxton, Miss. Step-Brother-Niles Moseley of Brandon, Ms. Grandparents-Winfred and Amanda Mize of St. Joseph, La. Grandparent-Estel and Sue Simpson of St. Joseph, La. Great Grandmother-Mary Murphy of St. Joseph, La. Great Grandmother-Marjorie Simpson of Leachville, Ark. Uncle-Eric Mize of Alameda, Calif. Uncle & Aunt-Danny & Angie Mize & cousins Alyssa & Danny Michael Mize of Paducah, Ky. Uncle & Aunt-Jason & Amy Mize of Madison, Miss. & cousins Jackson, Samuel & Parker Mize of Madison, Miss.
