Funeral services for Levia Lilly Atkins, 99, of Jonesville, LA will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Jonesville First Baptist Church. The service will be officiated by Bro. Gary Norris and Bro. Jim Elder. Graveside service will be a private family service under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home, Jonesville, LA. Miss Levia Lilly was born on February 9, 1915 in Lavaca (Archie) LA to Truman and Otis Wilkinson Breithaupt and passed away peacefully January 4, 2015 in her home in Jonesville, LA. She worked as a home maker and an entrepreneur of many different businesses including Catahoula Courts, Central Building Supply, Atkins Novelty Company, A&T Drug Store, owner of APA Farms, and presently leases a building to the U.S. Postal Service. In her spare time, she could be found playing Duplicate Bridge at Panola Woods Country Club or with her bridge partners in the Miss Lou. Levia was a Life Master Bridge Player. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Barney Atkins, Sr.; brother, Lee Breithaupt and sister –in-law Vera; sister Hester Wilson and brother-in-law Red. Miss Levia Lilly is survived by 1 daughter, Ginger Nell Parish and husband Tuffy of Jonesville, LA 2 sons: Barney Atkins, Jr. and wife Suzanne of Central, LA and Bill Atkins of Jonesville, LA. 11 Grandchildren: Lilly Dawn Harvey; James Parish and wife, Angie; Nicole Pino and husband Jimmy; Luke Atkins; Christine Descant and husband Shane; Marjory Alane Atkins; William Atkins; Elizabeth Atkins-McGlothin and husband Glen; Amanda Owens and husband Scotty; Rachel Atkins; Jessica Otwell and husband Chad. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers are: James Parish, Luke Atkins, Ross Wigginton, Glen McGlothin, Chad Otwell, and Shane Descant. Honorary Pallbearers are: William Atkins, Scotty Owens, Jimmy Pino, Truman Parish, Bryce McGlothin, and Haylea Ewing. The Family will receive visitors at Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville, LA from 5:00pm til 8:00pm on Tuesday, January 6th. The family would like to give special thanks to Penny Crain, Anna Laura Orr, Mary Margaret Edwards, and Camellia Hospice.
