RALPH L. PARKER, SR. “TWO-BIT” Two-Bit left this world on February 6, 2016, at about 4:30PM, while taking his normal afternoon nap, at home on Toledo Bend Lake in Hemphill, TX. He was born on January 19, 1946 to Louis “Plug” Parker, Jr. and Sadie Mae LaBorde Parker in Crowville, LA. He graduated from Harrisonburg High School, Class of 1964. After high school, Two-Bit joined the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was stationed aboard the U.S.S. Stickell DD 888, where he served as a radar man. He earned the rank of RD2 after 6 years of service in the U.S. Navy. Two-Bit worked for AT&T for several years as communications craftsman before joining the oilfield “trash family.” For 30+ years, he worked as an electrical engineer in the Gulf of Mexico and several other overseas places with his “trash family.” He retired about 2 years ago, to enjoy his lifelong passion of hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. Two-Bit married Glenda Faye Boothe, his soul mate and best friend of over 50 years. Two-bit’s departure was preceded by his parents, Louis and Sadie Parker, Wayne “Fuzzy” Parker, Sr., and grandson Brandon Parker. Continuing his legacy is his wife, Glenda, of Toledo Bend, Hemphill, TX; Daughter, Elise Suzonne Parker Romine and husband Lane of Bristow, OK; Son, Ralph “RJ” L Parker, Jr. of Trinidad, CO; Son, Michael Steven Parker of Harrisonburg, LA, and Son, Paul L Parker Sr. of Toledo Bend, Hemphill, TX. Grandchildren, Aric and Ellen Romine of Bristow, OK; Kellye Romine of Toledo Bend, TX; Sawyer Romine of Bristow, OK; Anika (Ashley) Veillon of Castle Rock, CO; Jacob Parker of Jonesville, LA; Seth Parker of Jonesville, LA; Alexis and Christian Parker of Lafayette, LA, Lindsey Noel Parker Fleenor and husband Christian of Alexandria, LA; Paul Lucas Parker, Jr of Lafayette, LA ; and 3 Great Granddaughters, Honey, Payton, and Embree; His Brothers, Charles “Pete” Parker and wife Rachel of Pineville, LA; Earl “Hoakey” Parker and wife Jane of Harrisonburg, LA; and Bobby Parker of Trinidad, CO.; mother-in-law, Nobie Cooper Boothe Rowley, and numerous nieces and nephews. The visitation will be Friday, February 12, 2016 from 5P-9P at Rosin Creek Pentecostal Church in Harrisonburg, LA. The services to celebrate Two-Bit’s life will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 @ 1PM at Rosin Creek Pentecostal Church, with interment to follow, at the Joe Boothe Cemetery in Harrisonburg Hills. Officiating the services will be Rev. George A. Boothe, Jr., Rev. Brent Randall, and Rev. Rodney Jackson.
