Rebekah Larae Perkins

Rebekah LaRae Perkins, age 30 of Jonesville, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018. She was born prematurely on August 31, 1987 in Jackson, Mississippi after being diagnosed by ultrasound with hydrocephalus. Rebekah attended Jonesville Elementary and Jr. High School and Block High School where she never met a stranger, either student or faculty. Over the years, she volunteered along with her mom at many of the local festivals, charities, and organizations. Rebekah absolutely loved the time that she spent encouraging her friends at Flex Fitness. Bekah was also an avid Facebooker with many thousand friends all over the world. She spent many hours nurturing and loving babies and children in the community. And she loved her church families at both New Life Pentecostal Church and Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church. But her favorite pastime was spending time with her large, loving family, no matter what the activity was. Rebekah was preceded in death by her grandparents, Orville and Lavada Perkins, Douglas Stockman and Norman Comeau; and first cousins, James Daniel White, Joshua DeWayne Scott, Andrew Elliott Fuglaar and Christopher Elliott Fuglaar. Rebekah is survived by her mother and father, Gay Elliott and Randy Stockman, of Jonesville, Louisiana; and her father and mother, Gaylon Ray and Janet Comeau Perkins of Parrish, Florida; grandparents, Grover Wayne and Gladys Elliott of Jonesville, Louisiana; Pauline Comeau of Waverly, Nova Scotia, Canada and Shelby Dykes of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Rebekah is also survived by two loving sisters, Jessica Perkins of Jonesville, Louisiana, and Vandi and husband Clint Edwards of Jonesville, Louisiana. She also left behind two precious nieces, Bryndal and Libby Edwards of Jonesville, Louisiana. Rebekah is survived by her brother, Lance Stockman and his wife, Brooke of Lake Charles, Louisiana. She is survived by aunts and uncles, Yolanda and husband, Kenneth McClure, of Jonesville, Louisiana; Lenora and husband, Jeff Schmidt of Stuttgart, Germany; Wayne Elliott of Jonesville, Louisiana; Sherry and husband, Tim Calhoun of Archibald, Louisiana; Patricia and husband, Randy White of Jonesville, Louisiana, Teresa and husband, Kenny Scott of Jonesville, Louisiana, Garry and wife, Claudia Perkins of Baker, Florida; Stephen and wife, Heather Comeau of Enfield, Nova Scotia, Canada, and Kevin and wife, Rebecca Stockman of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Rebekah also leaves behind her Krewe de Kousins and a lot of caring relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Skylar Dore', Will Garner, Cody Herrington, Cody Johnson, Joseph Spence, Dutch Thornton, Jordie White. Honorary Pallbearers are all her cousins. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 14, from 5:00 to 10:00 pm at Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church, Jonesville, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 15 at 11:00 am at Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church with Reverend Lance Stockman, Reverend David Poole, Reverend Joel Ford and Reverend Jeremy Hathcock presiding.
