Deceased Name: Thomas Fredrick Dennig Date of Birth: Saturday, July 27, 1940 Date of Death: Wednesday, October 14, 2015 Lake St. John - Graveside services for Tommy Dennig, 75, of Lake St. John, who died Wednesday, October 14, 2015, will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 451 Highway 151 N, Calhoun, LA on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 3 p.m. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9 a.m. until noon, Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday, LA. Thomas Fredrick Dennig was born in Longview, TX on July 27, 1940 to Jesse Ruth Dennig and Louie Bartell "Jack" Dennig. He graduated from West Monroe High School and was a lifelong farmer. He farmed soybeans, corn, cotton, and winter wheat. His love of horses and cattle lead him to spend much of his time on his cow/calf operation. Tommy was on the board and a member of many agricultural organizations over his lifetime. His family and friends were his past time and he was affectionaltely known as T, T-Cat, Tomcat, or Pap. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Tracey Ann Dennig Roberts. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kally Head Dennig, two daughters, Heather Dennig Burget and husband Brad of Lake St. John, LA, Donna Dennig Peterson and husband Scott of Rock Hill, SC; eight grandchildren, Alex Perry and husband Jonathon of Baton Rouge, LA, Lily Roberts of Vidalia, LA, Anna Bet Roberts of Baton Rouge, LA and Sela Roberts of Baton Rouge, LA. Barrett Burget and Adeline Burget of Lake St. John, LA. Bart Lanehart and wife Alex of Monterey, LA, and Kaci Lanehart of Monterey, LA. Seven great-grandchildren, Jack Perry, Finn Welch, Molly Evans, Emma Evans, Bella Lanehart, Patten Lanehart, and Kelbyn Lanehart. One brother, Jimmy Dennig and wife Nanette, and three sisters, Loretta Dennig, Nell Ley and husband Earl, Kathy Vestal and husband Ted. Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Archie Merchant of Coronation, Alberta, and Wendy and Mike Bain of Castor, Alberta. Pallbearers are Archie Merchant, Chad Merchant, Brad Burget, Jonathon Perry, Scott Peterson and Jack Little.
