Funeral services for Donald Ray Parker, 77, of Harrisonburg, Louisiana will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at New Life Pentecostal Church at Manifest. Interment will follow at Heard Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home of Jonesville. Visitation for friends and family will be held at the church Friday, August 3, 2012 from 5 P.M. until 12 A.M. Rev. David Poole, Rev. Joel Ford and Rev. Tony Ganey will be officiating. Donald Ray Parker was born on July 18, 1935 in Catahoula Parish and went home to be with Jesus on August 1, 2012 at LaSalle General Hospital. Donald was owner and operator of Parker Oilfield Company. He was an avid hunter who loved the outdoors. Laughing and enjoying the fellowship of his many friends and family was one of his favorite past times. He was a faithful member of New Life Pentecostal Church of Manifest where he served as a greeter. No one ever entered the doors of the church without being greeted with a smile, a hand shake, and a heartfelt welcome. Donald was such a loving, helpful man, a good man, who will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents, F.A. and Mae Lea Parker, two brothers, J.C. and Lloyd Parker, great-granddaughter Araina Parker, and his first wife, Emma Parker. Survivors include his loving wife of 17 years, Ina Jo Parker; three sons, Allen Parker and wife Pauline of Natchez, MS, Donnie Parker and wife Becky of Jonesville, Louisiana, and Hank Martin and wife Paula of Flora, MS;three daughters, Renae Cotten and husband Ricky of Jonesville, Louisiana, Becky Hardie and husband Steve of Jonesville, Louisiana and Tonda Spence and husband Mike of Sicily Island, Louisiana; Grandchildren Jeff and Ray Parker, Anthony and Jared Parker; Cambree, Blake, Haylea and Trent Cotten, Brittanie Hardie, Shane and Tyler Spence, Heather Martin Wallace, Derek and Brooke Martin; Great-grandchildren, Caroline Parker, Hallie Parker, and Cade Wallace. Pallbearers will be grandsons Jeff and Ray Parker, Anthony and Jared Parker, Blake and Trent Cotten, Shane and Tyler Spence, Derek Martin and special friends, Wade Brown, Ashley Haring and Keith Hudnall.
