Funeral services for Aiden Hilie Taunton, 5, of Monterey, LA will be held Friday, June 9, 2017 at Monterey Church of Christ at 10 AM with Bro. Jason Sparks officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Monterey Church of Christ from 5-8 PM. Interment will follow the funeral service at Taunton Family Cemetery, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Aiden Hilie Taunton was born on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 in Natchez, MS. and passed away Sunday, June 04, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. Aiden loved playing chase, hide and seek, art and playing with her American Girl Dolls. She enjoyed music, dancing and singing. Aiden had a special place in her heart for her little brother and baby sister, she took joy in teaching them new things and most importantly how to love. Aiden always looked for ways to brighten others day either by coloring them a picture or buying them a gift. She always prayed for others even in the deepest parts of her journey. Aiden loved Jesus and we know she carried Him with her everywhere. She was preceded in death by: maternal great grandfather, Neul Whittington; paternal great- grandparents Thompson and Lazenna Taunton and Bill and Agnes Anne Collinsworth; maternal great-grandparents, Roy and Mary Jean Paul. Survivors include: Parents, Collin Taunton and Megan Paul Taunton of Monterey, LA; brother and sister, Rustin Taunton and Ronnie Anne Taunton of Monterey; maternal grandparents, Richie and Debbie Paul of Monterery; paternal grandparents, Bert and Gaye Taunton of Ferriday, LA; maternal great-grandmother, Betty Whittington of Denham Springs, LA; uncle, Blaine Paul of Vidalia and uncle, Blake Taunton and wife, Tiffany of Tampa, FL and cousin Bennett Taunton; aunt, Julie McIntosh and husband, Toby and cousin Jordan of Clayton; and aunt, Contessa Anne Lestingi and husband Paul of New York. Pallbearers will be Collin Taunton, Richie Paul, Bert Taunton, Blain Paul, Blake Taunton and Dustin Dawkins. Donations can be made to: STEPSCenla.
