Benjamin F. Wynn, III

Funeral services for Benjamin Franklin Wynn III, 81 of Ferriday, LA will be held at Young's Funeral Home Ferriday on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 11:00 am with Bro. David Carlton officiating. Interment will follow at Ogden Cemetery, in Liddieville, LA, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Benjamin Wynn was born on January 2, 1929 in Georgetown Co., S.C. and passed away Monday, August 16, 2010 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Mr. Wynn retired with International Paper, after 50 years, as a Bleach Plant Operator. He started working there as a young man, bearly old enough to be employed. He knew the company from the ground up. Before retiring he became a technical advisor for IP, writing a manual on the entire company. He proudly served as a cook in the U.S. Army, and also during the Korean War. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, in Natchez, MS. He enjoyed watching LSU football and FOX news, and spending time with his family. Mr. Wynn was a straight-forward man. He loved his family and friends deeply. He was always looking out for their best interest, being a good husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He was preceded in death by: His parents-Benjamin Franklin Wynn, Jr. and Florrie Mae Howard Wynn One bother-William Thurman Wynn Two sisters-Nina Mae Wynn Petty and Addie Jeanette Wynn. Survivors include: His wife of 59 years, Maybelle Wright Wynn, of Ferriday, LA Son-Benjamin F. Wynn, IV and wife Marilyn of Natchitoches, LA Son-James Wynn and wife Kathy of Leesvillle, LA Son-William L. Wynn and wife Zella of Leesville, LA Daughter-Becky Book and husband Nelson of Ferriday, LA Brother-Thomas McGilbert of Georgetown, SC Sister-Annette Robertson of Richmond, VA Five grandchildren-Hunter Wynn, Justin Wynn, Benjamin Wynn, Jamie Hamilton, and Holly Bonnette and 6 great-grandchildren. The Pallbearers will be Benjamin Wynn, Joel Bonnette, Timmie Blalock, Tyler Blalock, Willie Huff and Jonathan Clark. The Honorary Pallbearers will be Carrol Pearson, Emmitt Keating, Lawrence Wilkinson and Rayford Huff. The family will receive friends Young's Funeral Home Ferriday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, August 18, 2010.
