Mark Richardson officiating. Internment will follow at Providence Memorial Cemetery, Winnsboro, LA, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Clifford was born on Tuesday, April 12, 1927 in the Godfrey Home in Winnsboro, LA. and passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Riverland Medical Center after fighting a lengthy illness. He was raised by his mother, Carice Godfrey King and his Grandmother , Lillian Godfrey together with an extended family of Aunts and Uncles and their families. He was a resident of Lake St. John, a member of Concordia Electric Board of Directors for over 17 years, served on the Concordia Parish Police Jury , member of Concordia Parish Chamber of Commerce and Louisiana Farm Bureau. He attended Northeast Louisiana University for three years, and retired from Wholesale Grocery business after 35 years of service. Clifford was a member of Lake Shore Baptist Church Clifford proudly served his Country in the United States Air Force from 1945-1947 He is preceded in death by Father- Clifford Augustus King; Mother- Carice Godfrey King; Sister- Carolyn Brown; Brother- Charles G. King Clifford married Betty Chadderdon King in 1951. The two shared a life together on Lake St. John for the past 66 years. Cliff and Betty raised two children together, Chris King of Lake St. John and Connie King Moore and her husband Doug of Start, LA. Clifford had 4 grandchildren: Nikki Lofton King Married to Jeremiah King of Winnsboro, LA. Together they have 4 children, Kaylee, Lilly, Kason and Logan. One Grandson, Will Hawsey and his wife Cecily Ann Hawsey of Chattanooga, TN. Together they have 3 children, Ebin Ray, Hayden Cash and Harrison. Meagan Bourgeois married to Justin Bourgeois of Dutchtown, LA. Together they have 1 child, Lucy. Ashley Maddox married to Jerry Maddox of New Orleans, LA. Pallbearers will be Jeremiah King, Will Hawsey, Jay Godfrey, Carey King, Ellis Ray Chadderdon and Johnny Huff.
