Edward Wiley Frith

Funeral services for Mr. Edward Wiley Frith, 73 of Monterey, LA will be held at Lismore Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 11:00 am with Rev. C. D. Beard and Rev. Kevin Simms officiating. Interment will follow at Lismore Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Mr. Edward Frith was born on November 9, 1936 in Wallace Ridge, Louisiana and passed away Monday, October 4, 2010 at his residence in Monterey. Mr. Frith was a member of Lismore Baptist Church. He retired after more than 30 years with The International Paper Co. He also worked with Georgia Pacific Paper Company, in Zachary, Oxirain Chemical Company, in Channelview, TX, Good Hope Oil Refinery, in Good Hope, LA, and Martco. After his retirement, he continued consulting on Power Generation Systems for many companies. Edward proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He loved to hunt and fish, go to family reunions, and rock his grandchildren in his rocking chair. The happiest times in his life were when he was spending time with his family and friends. He was a very sweet, giving man, always looking out for everyone else. He was a perfectionist, in that everything he did, he did to the best of his ability. He was preceded in death by: Parents, Corry Herbert Frith, Sr. and Minnie Gertrude Frith One brother, Corry Frith, Jr. Two sisters, Mae Frith Peoples and Betty Frith Scott Two grandchildren-Brice Lynn Clark and Brady Lane Clark. Survivors include: His wife, Alice Faye Andrews Holley Frith of Monterey, La. One daughter-Lana Clark and husband, Larry of Mansfield, La. Three sons-Terry Frith and wife, Beth of Lafayette, La., Gary Frith of Central, La. Corky Frith of Mansfield, La. Five brothers-Gus Frith and wife, Joyce, Tom Frith and wife, Zora all of McCall Creek, Ms., Albert Frith and wife, Sharyn of Oklahoma City, Ok., Charlie Hodges and wife, Debbie of Crowville, La. and Raymond Nicholson and wife, Diane of Jonesville, La. Two sisters-Ann Marchese of Jacksonville, FL. and Connie Sue Harris of Coosbay, OR. He was also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. The Pallbearers will be Ben Frith, Corey Clark, Larry Clark, Lee Charpentier, Marion Smith and Woody Long. The Honorary Pallbearers will be his Co-workers at Martco and Jerry Buckner. The family will receive friends Lismore Baptist Church from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, October 5, 2010.
